Pakistan announced to make five changes against Sri Lanka. Naseem Shah, who has been disqualified from the competition, has been replaced by Zaman Khan.

For their last Super 4 match in the 2023 Asia Cup, slated for Thursday in Colombo against the reigning champions Sri Lanka, Pakistan has released their starting lineup.

The team that was defeated by India on Monday has undergone five changes for the game.

By benching the out of form Fakhar Zaman and opting to play wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris in the crucial match, Babar Azam has made a significant decision.

Naseem Shah, who has been ruled out from the competition, has been replaced by Zaman Khan, while Haris Rauf, who is still recuperating after experiencing soreness in his right side on the first day of the India match, has been replaced by Mohammad Wasim Jr.

Agha Salman has had trouble getting going in the competition and had a facial injury against India. As a result, Saud Shakeel has taken the all-rounder’s spot in the starting lineup.

Faheem Ashraf has been replaced by Mohammad Nawaz because the Colombo pitch is spin-friendly, as seen in the most recent encounter between India and Sri Lanka.

Pakistan’s playing XI:
Babar Azam (C), Imam ul Haq, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Saud Shakeel, Iftikhar Ahmed, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Nawaz, Shaheen Afridi, Zaman Khan, and Muhammad Wasim Jr.
