Pakistan received $5665.83 million after April 11

$55.92 million as aid, $5606.9 million received on account of loans, Ayaz Sadiq informs NA

Pakistan has received $5665.83 million in aid and loans in less than six months, from April 11 to September 30, in form of aid and loans.

Minister for Economic Affairs Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has told the total amount that Pakistan has received in the tenure of the incumbent government. He was speaking in the ongoing session of the National Assembly (NA) on Friday. The session is going on under the Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf.

Sadiq further told the National Assembly that out of $5665.83 million received so far $55.92 million was for aid while $5606.9 million have been received on account of loans.

The National Assembly was also informed that there was no risk of default.

Minister of State for Finance Aisha Ghous Pasha answering a question said that at the time when the coalition government had been formed the country was facing a difficult condition economically because of the suspended IMF program.

Pasha also said that the IMF program was successfully revived by the government. She further added that improvement was being seen in exports and remittances while due to the reforms made by the government the investors had been showing interest in investment in Pakistan.
