Pakistan is expected to get $1 billion from China today and a soft code for delivery has also been received.
According to sources, today Pakistan is likely to get $1 billion from China.
The amount will be received in the Account of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) today, which will be in form of a commercial loan.
Sources said that Pakistan made advance payment to China this week, and China is now returning this amount to Pakistan.
Earlier today, briefing the Standing Committee on Finance, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that the $1 billion loan paid to China will be repaid by today or Monday.
The Finance Minister said that the reason for the delay in the budget strategy paper was the delay in talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), which has set a condition of external financing. He said that the condition is being fulfilled and all arrangements have been made.
