Pakistani and Indian foreign minister shake hands

On the margins of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Goa, Indian Foreign Minister Jaishankar and Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari shook hands.

The Indian and Pakistani foreign ministers shook hands during a luncheon held by the Indian foreign minister in commemoration of the Council of Foreign Ministers.

According to media reports, Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari arrived at the dinner ceremony in the last. When Bilawal Bhutto arrived, Jaishankar stood up from his seat and shook hands with him.

The two foreign ministers then exchanged greetings as they shook hands.

Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari recently met his Russian counterpart in Goa for the annual session of the SCO.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is the first Pakistani foreign minister to visit India since 2011.

There won’t be a formal meeting between Bilawal and the Indian foreign minister Jaishankar.
