Pakistani soldiers martyred in attack from Afghanistan

A total of three Pakistani troops were martyred when terrorists from inside Afghanistan opened fire in the general area of Dewagar, North Waziristan District, said the military’s media wing on Saturday.

“During the exchange of fire, Havaldar Taimoor, a resident of Jhelum, age 30, Naik Shoaib, a resident of Attock, age 38 and Sepoy Saqib Nawaz, resident of Sialkot, age 24, fought gallantly and embraced shahadat,” said the official statement, adding that Pakistan strongly condemned the use of Afghan soil by terrorists for activities against Pakistan and expected that the Afghan government would not allow the conduct of such activities in future.

The official statement also warned that Pakistan Army was determined to defend Pakistan’s borders against the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave men further strengthened our resolve.
