PCB announces free entry for spectators in Pak-NZ 2nd Test

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to make entry free during the second Test of the ongoing two-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand.

It should be noted that during the ongoing first Test in Karachi the attendance of fans in the stadium has been very low and in view of the situation the administration has felt the need to take immediate steps to fill the stands.

In view of this situation, the PCB has announced free entry to all stands except two VIP enclosures for Karachiites during the second Test between Pakistan and New Zealand.

PCB Cricket Committee Chairman Najam Sethi told Dawn dot com that tickets will be available on a first-come-first-served basis with the second Test to be played from January 2 to January 6.

In addition, the cricket board said that it has also started contacting universities, schools and other educational institutions to bring students to the stadium, old age homes and orphanages will also be contacted in this regard.

Last year New Zealand cancelled the tour of Pakistan a few hours before the start of the ODI series due to security reasons and the cricket team returned home without playing any match. New Zealand had toured Pakistan after a long gap of 18 years to play an ODI and T20 series during which the Kiwis were to play three ODIs and five T20 matches.
