PCB avoids making betting company Pak-NZ series sponsors

The main title sponsor of Pakistan vs New Zealand series is a bank, and no questionable website is included in the sponsor’s list as of now.

Some dubious sponsors have been involved with Pakistan cricket over the past few years. Despite appearing to be news websites, several of them were found to be affiliated with betting businesses and operating under false names.

Some of these businesses were seen as sponsors in the eighth PSL after first supporting the bilateral series. A few cricketers also voiced their opposition to this practice. Wicket-keeper batter Mohammad Rizwan had covered the Multan Sultans’ sponsor’s logo during the PSL 8 playoffs.

Authorities have reportedly warned the marketing department and the corporation holding legal rights to steer clear of surrogate sponsorship firms because they believe they present a false picture.

The sponsors of the New Zealand series do not include “DafaNews.” The organization known as “Dafabet” supports cricket in various nations using the same logo as “DafaNews.”

A bank is the headline sponsor of the next series against the Kiwis; up until this point, no substitute “news website” has been included among the sponsors. At this time, it’s unclear whether the board decided to maintain this practice moving forward or if it was only for this particular series.
