Following the approval of 35 PTI members’ resignations and the declaration of their seats vacant the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that PDM would not participate in the PTI’s 35 seats by-elections.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that the reasons for not participating in the election would be disclosed soon.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that there was no point in participating in the elections for two to three months. He said that in his opinion they shouldn’t take part in these 35 constituencies or in any by-elections.
Earlier, the Speaker National Assembly accepted the resignations of 35 members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and the Election Commission of Pakistan has also denotified these members.
