Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has stated that a peace accord between Israel and Saudi Arabia will lead to a peaceful resolution of the Palestinian conflict.

During his interview with Al Arabiya, he asserted that reaching out to Palestinian leaders directly would be less productive than extending the gains obtained in the 2020 Abraham Accords to other Arab states, which he claimed were unwilling to recognize Israel.

He further added that peace with Saudi Arabia will also change our region in unimaginable ways.

“And I think it will facilitate, ultimately, a Palestinian-Israeli peace. I believe in that. I intend to pursue it,” Netanyahu said.

He further claimed that Palestinian leadership has rejected for the previous century to do what is finally occurring in the rest of the Arab world, which is to acknowledge that the state of Israel is here to stay, which is the reason why there hasn’t been an Israeli-Palestinian peace.

He claimed that the 2002 Saudi plan to bring about Arab-Israeli peace in exchange for Israel ending all occupation of Arab territories showed a determination to put an end to the conflict on all fronts.
he further added that he believes that 20 years later, a fresh perspective is required.

Riyadh officially had not published any response.
