PEACE Cable Network’s submarine cable connects Pakistan and France

Pakistan and East Africa Connecting Europe (PEACE) Cable International Network Company Limited has finished the construction of a submarine cable infrastructure providing connectivity from Pakistan to France.

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has stated that Karachi and Zafarana, Egypt have been connected by the new segment and the cable infrastructure was ready for service.

PTA Chairman Major General Amir Azeem and PEACE Cable management held an online meeting in which it was told that the length of the segment is 5,800 kilometers.

The PEACE Cable network has expressed interest in investment opportunities in Pakistan and also discussed future plans for developing innovative digital technology solutions.

PEACE Cable’s Chief Operating Officer Sun Xiaohua said that the Pakistan-France segment was a thrilling milestone and had been built well.

Country Manager of Pakistan Shoaib Ashfaq Qureshi said that it was the first international submarine cable connecting Pakistan to Europe, Africa and Singapore. He also said that they were very excited to grow the connectivity of the region.

PEACE Cable is a 15,000-kilometre-long submarine cable from Pakistan to France. It has been extended from Pakistan to Singapore for an additional 6,500 kilometers.
