People will stamp out PTI’s ‘false’ narrative today: CM

Punjab Chief Minister Hamza Shehbaz Saturday said that people will reject the “false” narrative of former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan by voting for the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidates in by-polls on 20 seats of the Punjab Assembly today (Sunday). In a statement, the chief minister directed the administration and police to ensure the security of the voters and maintain law and order during the polling process. He added that no one will be allowed to spoil the polling process. The chief minister claimed that the PML-N believes in service delivery, adding that Imran Khan is doing politics of hatred and deception. “He (Imran) is hell-bent on humiliating state institutions for the sake of his politics,” he said, and added that people will reject the PTI and its leadership with power of their vote. Moreover, the CM directed police and the administration to remain impartial and neutral during by-elections. “We accept power of the vote,” he said, directing police and the administration to perform their constitutional and legal responsibilities in letter and spirit. The CM directed the administration and police to fully implement the directives of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
