People won’t rally behind Imran Khan if he is arrested, says Marriyum

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was denounced by Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb on Tuesday, claiming that the people would not rally behind Imran Khan if he was detained.

She responded to Imran Khan’s announcement of his detention on Twitter, stating that Imran will be detained in relation to a case involving illegal foreign funding, the theft of Toshakhana presents, and not disclosing his daughter.

She insisted that Imran Khan was guilty in each and every one of the several instances that had been filed against him.

The minister noted that it was inappropriate for someone to refer to their army as “my army” after starting a defamatory campaign against military martyrs.

In a similar vein, she asserted that the person who plotted to destroy the nation and left the populace jobless and in need of food could not refer to them as “my people.”

Imran Khan was reminded by Marriyum Aurangzeb that the Wazirabad case’s FIR was not filed by the PTI’s previous administration in Punjab, and that neither its president nor the time’s chief minister conducted the inquiry.
