Petition seeking disqualification of PM for not declaring Tyrian White daughter dismissed by IHC

Petitioner had argued premier was not ‘sadiq and ameen’ as he gave false information in nomination papers

Islamabad High Court on Tuesday has dismissed the petition that was seeking the disqualification of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The petitioner withdrew the petition that was filed in 2018 in which they claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan has not declared Tyrian White as his daughter while filing his nomination papers.

According to media reports, a bench of Islamabad High Court consisting of Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir gave the verdict.

The petitioner had argued for the disqualification of the premier under Article 62(i)(f) of the constitution of Pakistan, as he provided false information in his nomination papers. Consequently, according to the petitioner, the prime minister was no longer ‘Sadiq and Ameen’.
