Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated China’s President Xi Jinping on securing a historic third five-year term on Friday.
The Prime Minister remarked that President Xi Jinping’s support from the Chinese people and parliament was a testament to his exceptional leadership abilities.
PM wrote on Twitter, “Heartiest felicitations to H. E. President Xi Jinping on his re-election as President of China. This is a reflection of the trust reposed by the CPC and 1.4 billion Chinese people in his statesmanship. I’m confident that Pak/China ties will flourish further under his sagacious leadership.”
The premier also noted that China was achieving outstanding progress in every sector, including innovation, health, agriculture, and technology, under the guidance of President Xi.
Shehbaz expressed the expectation that under President Xi Jinping’s upcoming five-year term, the tried-and-true, perennial strategic partnership between the two nations will be further expanded.
Xi Jinping was granted a third term as president of China on Friday after a meteoric climb to become the nation’s most powerful leader in centuries.
After Xi secured another five years as leader of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in October, the appointment was approved by China’s rubber-stamp parliament.
