PM Shehbaz meets Malala Yousufzai, shows support for girl’s education

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif visited Nobel laureate Malala Yousufzai on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.

On Saturday, the Prime Minister praised Malala for her global advocacy efforts on social concerns, notably girls’ education.

The Prime Minister emphasized the harm and devastation brought on by recent floods and climate change, which had resulted in significant loss of life and livelihood.

He expressed worry about how these record floods might affect the facilities for schooling.

The Prime Minister praised Malala’s bravery and commitment while highlighting government initiatives for education, gender equality, and expanded learning opportunities for Pakistani male and female students.

The PM also praised the cooperation between the Malala Fund and the Ministry of Education to assist the ministry’s current STEM program and emphasized the government’s initiatives and plans to focus on and encourage the education of girls in Pakistan.

Malala emphasized her dedication to advancing the right of all girls to an education and expressed concern that several schools in Pakistan had been damaged in the most recent floods brought on by climate change.

She promised that Malala Fund will help Pakistan’s efforts to lessen the effects of the disastrous floods, particularly on girls’ access to education.
