Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif landed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Thursday for a two-day official visit.
The PM was welcomed by UAE’s Minister of Economic Affairs Abdullah Touq Al-Marri at the Abu Dhabi airport.
The prime minister was greeted by representatives of the Pakistani embassy in the United Arab Emirates.
According to a press release from the Foreign Office on Tuesday, the prime minister is travelling to the UAE at Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s request.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes important cabinet members.
The prime minister will meet with the president of the UAE during the trip with a specific focus on strengthening economic, trade, and investment links between the two friendly nations and expanding employment possibilities for Pakistani workers in the UAE.
Additionally, the two leaders will discuss a variety of global and regional problems of shared concern.
PM Shehbaz will also have a meeting with UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Muhammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The prime minister will meet with Emirati businesspeople and investors during the trip to discuss ways to improve cross-border commerce and investment.
