Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Azerbaijan on a two-day official visit at the invitation of Azerbaijan’s Sadr al-Ham Aliyev.
Prime Minister Imran Khan visited the mausoleum of National Leader of Azerbaijan Haider Aliyev and paid tribute to him.
Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif called on Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev and discussed important areas of cooperation including trade, investment and energy.
An agreement will be signed between the Foreign Services Academies of the two countries during the Prime Minister’s visit.
The Prime Minister was scheduled to arrive at Baku Airport yesterday, where he was received by the Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.
Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Federal Minister for Commerce Syed Naveed Qamar, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister of State Mosaddek Malik and Tariq Fatemi are also accompanying Shahbaz Sharif.
