PM Shehbaz visits flood-affected areas in Sukkur

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Sukkur, Sindh, where he reviewed the ongoing rescue and relief efforts in the flood-affected region.

On Friday, the prime minister was welcomed by Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in Sukkur.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb announced on Twitter that the prime minister will be visiting flood-affected regions of Sukkur in Sindh.

Shehbaz Sharif will visit Khairpur, Rohri, Faizganj, Kot Diji and Thari Mir Wah.

 

Marriyum added that the Sukkur district administration and the provincial disaster management authority (PDMA) representatives would inform PM Shehbaz of the current aid initiatives for flood victims and the efforts being made to repair damaged infrastructure.

PM Shehbaz also met with members of the diplomatic community earlier on Friday to inform them about the damages caused by floods that have devastated many regions of the country.

The premier announced his meeting in Islamabad through his official Twitter handle.

 

PM Shehbaz also met with foreign donors to inform them about the current flood situation.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, international financial organizations, development partners, and donors.
