Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday directed the authorities concerned to take all possible steps to overcome the shortage of gas and power and reduce public difficulties. The prime minister gave the said directives while chairing a meeting to deliberate on the formulation of a strategy to cope with the shortage of electricity and gas, a PM Office statement said. PM Shehbaz said that the government was ensuring equal rights and opportunities to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in every walk of life. No country and society could achieve progress without the inclusion of PWDs in all sectors of life, the prime minister said in a message on the observance of International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3. The prime minister said the government was also ensuring that the PWDs should get all rights including health, education, jobs, transport and voting and get access to all facilities of life.
