Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has condemned the suicide blast in the Islamabad I-10 sector and summons a report of the attack.
The PM also paid respect to the murdered police officers, stating that the country honours its martyrs.
He continued by saying that the entire country would battle terrorism.
The PM declared, “The plan to kill innocent people has failed because of the intervention of the law enforcement services.”
PM also announced a martyr package for the family of Head Constable Adeel Hussain.
Interior minister Rana Sanaullah has also condemned the attack and paid respect to Islamabad police by saying that Islamabad police has done a brilliant job.
He also revealed that the vehicle loaded with explosives entered from Pindi to Islamabad and had a high-value target.
The Interior Minister said, “The target of the vehicle full of explosives was high value but due to the duty of the police personnel Islamabad was saved from a major accident.”
He also added that there were two suicide bombers in the car that entered the capital from Pindi.
