Police allege ‘underworld don’ involved in attack on MPA Bilal Yasin

Lawmaker was injured in armed attack close to his residence on Friday

The police has supposedly acquired some vital evidence regarding the involvement of Lahore’s underworld don in the armed attack on Pakistan Muslim League’s Member of Provincial Assembly Punjab Bilal Yasin.

A police official spoke with a local newspaper saying that the man behind the act was living in Dubai and managed to attack with the aid of local criminals.

He added that the ‘don’ was suspicious that Yasin played a crucial role behind Lahore police’s actions against his various unlawful endeavours.

The official added that the information was uncovered after the local police detained a local weapons dealer along with a suspect who received the gun used in the assault. He added that authorities were preparing to get the chief suspect extradited.

Yasin was attacked and injured last week on Friday close to his residence, after which the attacker fled.

Doctors reported that the MPA was probable to be shifted to a private room following two successful surgeries at Mayo Hospital. They said they removed two bullets from Yasin’s body, one from his abdominal region and from his leg.
