A complaint has been filed against Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and a former chief minister of Punjab, for allegedly torturing and assaulting police.
At the Ghalib Market police station, a case has been opened under the terrorism sections against 50 people, including Pervaiz Elahi. In this instance, 13 sections have been cited, including those related to terrorism and attempted murder.
The raiding team was attacked with sticks, stones and fuel, according to the wording of the complaint submitted by the anti-corruption officer, and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was forced to flee the scene.
Last night, police and anti-corruption agents stormed Elahi’s home but were unable to take him into custody.
