In a major breakthrough in the investigation of the case of violent protests and arson against the arrest of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, a mobile phone and vehicle used on May 9 by PTI Central Punjab President and former provincial minister Dr. Yasmin Rashid were recovered.
Significant progress has been made in the investigation against PTI leader Dr. Yasmin Rashid. On May 9, a mobile phone and vehicle used by her were recovered in connection with the vandalism and arson case.
Police said that Yasmin Rashid’s mobile phone has been sent for forensic, the investigation team interrogated the PTI leader in the jail, in which she told that they had gone together to protest.
Bail plea of Yasmin Rashid, 12 accused rejected
Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Lahore heard the case of bail of PTI leader and 12 other accused. The court announced the verdict on the post-arrest bail application of 34 accused including Dr. Yasmin Rashid.
Judge Ejaz Ahmed Buttar rejected the bail application of 12 accused, while the bail application of 22 other co-accused was accepted. The court remarked that most of the 22 accused who were granted bail were minor boys.
