Police recover 200 identity cards from PTI worker in Lahore

Just one day ahead of the most important by-polls on 20 seats of the Punjab Assembly, 200 identity cards have been recovered from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) worker at PP168 constituency of provincial capital Lahore.

According to police in the factory area, the accused Khalid Sindhu was planning to buy votes by using computerized national identity cards (CNIC) in PP168 of Lahore, a constituency where by-polls would be conducted tomorrow on July 17.

The police have claimed that the accused was trying to buy votes after paying against the CNICs of people of the constituency.

According to the police the accused Khalid Sindhu had made deal with people of casting votes after payments ranging from Rs2000 to Rs3000.

A video of the accused Khalid Sindhu under police interrogation has also been circulating on social media. In the video he claims to be a PTI supporter, telling that he had collected cards of voters of PP168 over a deal of votes against a few thousands of rupees.
