The district police have announced an indiscriminate crackdown on all those involved in aerial firing, kite flying, one-wheeling and fireworks.
In this regard, Acting CPO Faisalabad Abdullah Ahmed has issued official instructions to all towns’ SPs, asking them to tighten the cordon around persons engaged in aerial firing and display of illegal weapons, kite flying and one-wheeling. He further said that aerial firing is an illegal act due to which many people are injured and sometimes lives are lost.
According to daily reports, the number of such incidents is increasing day by day, but despite this, no adequate arrangements are being made by the police officers to prevent aerial firing, due to which the people are suffering from insecurity. According to the orders issued by the CPO, all town SPs have been strictly directed to take strict legal measures to prevent aerial firing, fireworks, and one-wheeling which cause untoward incidents.
The CPO issued an order to fully implement the instructions issued to the town SPs in which it was clarified that An effective patrolling plan should be set up, MC Patrol, Mobile Patrol and Elite Patrol should be deployed and fully briefed to prevent such incidents, as well as Get the marriage hall owners to implement the ban on aerial firing. Target operations should be conducted in old hostile areas. Take action against those who display weapons on social media. A zero tolerance policy should be adopted against one-wheeling and strict legal action should be taken against the violation.
