PM urges KP CM to maintain law and order

Peshawar Police’s Inspector Sehar Gul was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the area of President Circle Inqilab Police Station, Peshawar. According to CCPO Peshawar, Inspector Sehar Gul was taking his children to school in the morning when he was shot dead by unidentified persons. The children remained safe in the shooting.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan has condemned the killing and expressed his condolences to the victim’s family.

Mahmood Khan said that the government will not leave the family of the martyr alone and noted that the police have made eternal sacrifices for law and order in the province and such incidents will not demoralize the force. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Wednesday urged the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister to pay attention to the law and order situation in the province. He expressed sorrow over the death of Inspector Gul and said the rising attacks on police personnel in the province are worrisome. He expressed heartfelt sympathies to the family and children of the martyred police officer and emphasized giving assistance package to the heirs, including for the education of children.
