PPP to hold nationwide protests on 29th

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday said that his party would hold countrywide protest demonstrations against inflation on Friday (October 29).

Addressing a meeting of party workers and office-bearers of UC-2 and UC-19, he said that whatever Prime Minister Imran Khan laid his hands on, instead of improving it, he destroyed it.

“People are passing through hard times due to massive inflation,” he said, and accused PM Imran of snatching those liberties from the people which were guaranteed to them by the constitution.

Bilawal said that PPP leaders and workers would protest outside press clubs in each and every district of the country on Friday.

Calling the recently passed budget ‘PTI-IMF budget’, the PPP chairman said that the party had always raised its voice against it. “The purpose of our doing politics is not to come to power but to serve the masses,” he claimed.

The PPP chairman also listened to complaints of the people of his constituency and later ordered the departments concerned to solve the problems.

PPP Sindh President Nisar Khuhro and member of party’s Central Executive Committee, Jameel Soomro, also accompanied Bilawal on the occasion. Bilawal later offered condolences to different people over the death of their loved ones, including advocate Abdul Razak Soomro, Raja Riyaz Chahwan and Bilawal Brohi.
