KARACHI: The Sindh Minister for Agriculture, Manzoor Ahmed Wassan has predicted that the caretaker setup could be for two years and dreams of those wanting elections within 90 days could be shattered. Manzoor Ahmed Wassan, who is famous for making the political predictions, talking to the media here on Tuesday said that if political figures were not made as the caretakers both in Centre and in two provinces, the process of the general elections could be delayed for two years adding he said that it was the strong possibility that general elections would be delayed. He claimed that it was very unlikely that there would be political caretakers in the country and decisions about those appointments could create ‘very interesting situations’ in the country.
“Wassan claimed that lending agencies like IMF could be briefed and brought into confidence for the longer caretaker setup in the country adding he also predicted that if the elections were delayed there would be ruthless accountability for those involved in corrupt and other illegal practices. He said that PPP could face the joint opposition of GDA, MQM, JUI-F and some other anti-PPP forces in Sindh during the general elections. ” Moulana Fazal Rehman has been trying to make an alliance to contest elections against our party candidates in the general elections,” he added. Manzoor Wassan commenting on the current political situations in the country said that many big decisions could be made within few days, which according to him, would shape up things for future, He said that it was the earnest desire of every PPP leader to make Bilawal Bhutto Zardari the next premier of the country, who according to him, could bring the country back to the track to progress and prosperity.
