The government is preparing to drop another electric bomb on the people trapped in the grind mill of inflation.
According to sources, the Central Power Purchasing Agency (CPPA) has submitted an application to NEPRA for an increase in the price of electricity.
The CPPA has sought an increase in electricity prices in the form of monthly fuel price adjustment.
NEPRA will hear CPPA’s petition on July 26.
On the other hand, preparations have been made to drop electricity bombs on the citizens of Karachi, K-Electric has submitted a request to NEPRA to increase electricity by Rs2.33 per unit.
