President Dr. Arif Alvi has urged his compatriots to avoid letting their sectarian, religious, and political differences serve as a catalyst for conflict and hatred as the country celebrates Eidul Fitr on Saturday.
The President expressed his congratulations to the whole Muslim world and the people of Pakistan on Eidul Fitr and said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) also urged us to exhibit kindness and forgiveness to others in order to obtain mercy and forgiveness from Allah Almighty.
He asked Allah to offer the nation success and prosperity in exchange for accepting our fasts and prayers throughout Ramadan.
The Pakistani people and the Muslim Ummah were congratulated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the joyous occasion of Eidul Fitr.
He hoped that the beautiful occasion would bring every Muslim great happiness and joy in life in a message on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. He claimed that the worship of Allah and the fasting month of Ramazanul Mubarak inspired sentiments of tolerance, contentment, and empathy, and that Eidul Fitr provided an opportunity to put these traits into practice.
He urged people to help the underprivileged, impoverished, homeless, and orphaned in their community. He said, “Those who are facing difficulties due to adverse circumstances should be made part of the celebrations of Eid.” He noted that because of the difficulty of the situation, the sacrifice and affection of the wealthy and well-off were needed more than they would be under normal circumstances.
“God willing, our effort and hard work will bring economic prosperity in the life of the nation and the country as the sweetness of Eid follows the fasting month.” He also expressed sympathy for the dead families, expressed solidarity with those affected by the earthquakes in Syria and Turkey, prayed for the souls of the deceased, and wished the heirs patience.
