Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaches Jacobabad for a one-day visit

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reached Jacobabad for a day-long visit to flood affected area.

PM Shehbaz is also expected to visit Sohbatpur and Khuzdar in Balochistan to assess currently underway flood relief and rehabilitation efforts.

The prime minister will be informed of the multiple initiatives being taken to support flood victims’ relief and rehabilitation.

He will also pay a visit to the Balochistan National Party (Mengal) chief Nawab Akhtar Jan Mengal in Khuzdar district to express his commiserations on his uncle’s death.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif also conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Sindh, during his flight.

During his last visit to Jacobabad on 30 July to review rescue, relief, and rehabilitation measures in flood-hit areas, Prime Minister Shehbaz ordered the establishment of a medical camp and the distribution of medicines to the affected village.

He also directed to assign a veterinary doctor in affected areas for the livestock and added that the officials rapidly arrange for two boats and rations for the villages to expedite relief efforts.

While talking to the media during his last visit, the prime minister stated that he travelled to Balochistan to evaluate damages in affected areas such as Quetta, Zhob, Chaman, Killa Saifullah, Loralai, and Lasbella.
