Producer Momina Duraid awarded ‘Tamgha-e-Imtiaz’ for contributions to entertainment industry

One of the biggest drama and film producers of Pakistan, Momina Duraid was honoured with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (Award of Excellence) on March 23 for her countless contributions to the country’s entertainment industry.

Momina Duraid, who owns MD Productions and heads most of the dramatic works of HUM TV, started her career with the Nadia Jamil starrer ‘Mere Pass Pass’, which earned her wide critical acclaim.

From then onwards, she continued to produce blockbusters such as ‘Dastaan’, ‘Humsafar’, ‘Shehr-e- Zaat’, ‘Zindagi Gulzar Hai’, ‘Diyar-e-Dil’, ‘Sadqe Tumhaare’, ‘Mann Mayal’, ‘Udaari’, ‘Yaqeen Ka Safar’ and ‘Suno Chanda’ to name only a few from her illustrious career.

Duraid is also known for having helmed some of the most popular Pakistani films such as ‘Bin Roye’ and ‘Superstar’.

On attaining the award, Momina Duraid was congratulated by multiple people from the entertainment industry including Humayun Saeed, himself a giant producer, who expressed happiness at the fact that a person’s services to Pakistan’s showbiz industry had been attended to and rewarded with one of the most respectable accolades to exist.
