Providing foolproof security to Pakistan cricket team is India’s responsibility: Foreign Office

Foreign Office spokesman Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that it is the responsibility of India to provide foolproof security to the Pakistan cricket team.

In the weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that she will not respond to Indian statements on the security of the Pakistan cricket team in the World Cup, it is India’s responsibility to provide foolproof security to the Pakistani team in the World Cup cricket.

The Foreign Office spokesman said that it is the responsibility of India to provide an environment free of fear and harassment to the Pakistani team, in which spectators cannot harass Pakistani players.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights has taken up the issue of Kashmiris with India.

Reacting to the statements of various countries regarding the new elections, the spokesman said that Pakistan will resolve its political issues in accordance with the constitution and law.

The Foreign Office spokesman said that the Prime Minister has ordered the immediate arrest of the culprits involved in the Jaranwala incident.

The spokesman said that the statement of Afghan Taliban Supreme Leader Mullah Haibatullah against carrying out attacks inside Pakistan is welcome, while Russia is grateful for the statement and arrangements made on August 14.
