PSX loses 26 points in dull trading

The KSE 100-index of the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed slight bearish trend on Tuesday, losing 26.43 points, with a negative change of 0.06 percent, closing at 42,203.79 points against 42,230.22 points on the last working day.

A total of 138,281,102 shares were traded during the day compared to the trade of 124,946,353 shares the previous day whereas the price of shares stood at Rs5.005 billion against Rs3.934 billion on last trading day.

As many as 320 companies transacted shares in the stock market, 155 of them recorded gain and 143 sustained losses, whereas the share price of 22 companies remained unchanged.

The three top trading companies were Treet Corp with a volume of 15,350,000 shares and price per share of Rs30.07, TPL Properties XB with a volume of 8,380,315 and price per share of Rs 17.88 and Pak Elektron (R ) with volume of 7,358,500 and price per share of Rs1.00. Colgate Palm witnessed a maximum increase of Rs88 per share, closing at Rs2,288 whereas the runner up was Unilever Foods, the share prices of which climbed up by Rs200 to Rs23,449.50.

Rafhan Maize witnessed maximum decrease of Rs296.67 closing at Rs 11,403.33 followed by Nestle Pakistan, the share price of which declined by Rs124.40 to close at Rs5,515.60.
