PTI celebrates failure of no-confidence vote

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Sindh took out a rally on Sunday to celebrate the ‘failure of the opposition’s no-confidence vote’ against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh, while speaking to the media on the occasion, said that the ‘foreign-funded conspiracy’ of the opposition parties hatched against PM Imran on the behest of a foreign power had been thwarted.

“The three stooges received dollars, and attempts were made to overthrow Imran Khan’s government by using their foreign funding for horse-trading,” he said, adding that a political group of Karachi that is a remnant of a man sitting in London also joined the band of thugs.

The same group who joined the enemies of the homeland received funds from the federal government for more than three years, he added.

Haleem said that all traitors had been exposed before the nation, and Imran Khan was determined to defeat them with the support of the people.

He felicitated the people of Pakistan on the defeat of anti-Pakistan elements and said that people who were dreaming of coming into power were upset now.

The PTI leader also hailed Pir Pagara Syed Sibgatullah Shah of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional for his determination and fulfilment of the commitment to the federal government despite lucrative offers.

Haleem said that after the dissolution of the National Assembly, people of Pakistan had to decide the future of the country. “Now, opposition parties should go into masses, contest the election and get the mandate of the people if they can,” he said, adding that the entire nation has confidence in the courageous and patriotic leadership of PM Imran.
