Following the Supreme Court’s decision in favor of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the election postponement case a day earlier, the former ruling party celebrates the “Thanksgiving day” tonight throughout the country.

PTI supporters gathered in different venues of cities in all provinces including Lahore, Karachi, Multan, Faisalabad and Peshawar.

They celebrated the verdict of the apex court in favor of their petition.

Prominent PTI leaders including Hammad Azhar addressed the supporters at Liberty Lahore. Hammad stated in a tweet to “look at the massive gathering despite rain and storm after Iftari”.

PTI supporters also gathered at Liyari in Karachi, the largest metropolitan city of Pakistan.

Screens were also installed at venues to display the video link address of PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan.

Imran Khan announced on Twitter, early in the day, that his party will observe “Youm-e-Tashakkur” tonight after Isha prayer in more than 75 cities spread across the four provinces.

The ECP, earlier today, announced its polls schedule with the date of polling mentioned as May 14.

The Supreme Court supported the Constitution and ended the theory of inevitability. It was a significant move in the direction of Haqeeqi Azadi, Imran Khan stated in tweet.

PTI Chairman added, “I will speak to our people and caution them of the true peril that, despite the Supreme Court’s decision, the governing mafia will still refuse to conduct elections because they are terrified of losing. In order to support and defend the SC, which is following the Constitution, we must be ready to demonstrate in the open.”
