Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan has been arrested by the police. His arrest warrants were issued by Additional Sessions Judge Humayoun Dilawar.
A heavy contingent of Lahore police had reached Zaman Park. All roads leading to Zaman Park had been closed.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Humayoun Dilawar announced the verdict against Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case.
According to the verdict, PTI Chairman and the former prime minister has been disqualified for five years. He has been sentenced to three years in jail and a Rs100,000 fine will have to be paid.
Imran Khan has also been disqualified from participating in elections.
Judge Humayoun Dilawar also issued arrest warrants for Imran Khan.
SSP Civil Lines Hassan Javed Bhatti was also present in Zaman Park.
Imran Khan has initially been shifted to Kot Lakhpat Jail, after which he will be handed over to Islamabad Police.

Security has been put on high alert in the federal capital after the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
Islamabad Sessions Court sentenced Imran Khan to three years in jail in the Toshakhana criminal case, after which the federal police tightened security in Islamabad.
According to sources, additional forces have been deployed at various checkpoints by the police. Frontier Constabulary (FC) and Rangers personnel have started patrolling the main highways.
Sources say that the police have compiled lists of political activists active in the city, in the event of a possible protest, there is a possibility of a crackdown against the workers.
