PTI deceiving masses in name of state of Medina: Sirajul Haq

Jamaat-e-Islami ameer says secular parties damaging ideological basis of Pakistan

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Sirajul Haq has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) was deceiving the masses in the name of state of Medina.

In a statement issued on Wednesday from Mansoora, the party’s headquarters in Lahore, he said the PTI continued the policies of the former governments and that secular parties were bent upon damaging the ideological basis of the country.

“There is no difference among the policies of the PTI, the PML-N and the PPP. They are sides of the same coin and protecting (their) self-interest,” he said.

There was a dire need to strengthen the Election Commission of Pakistan and the accountability system, he said, adding that the PTI government attacked the Election Commission of Pakistan and the National Accountability Bureau and weakened the other institutions in the past three years.

He said the PTI also tried to impose the secular agenda in the education system with the backing of the Western and anti-religion forces.

The JI ameer added that the people of Pakistan would never tolerate such elements who were trying to damage the ideological basis of the country. He said the country was attained in the name of Islam and the system based on Quran and Sunnah was the only way forward to put it on track.

The JI, he added, was struggling for the same.
