PTI decides to challenge prohibited funding verdict

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to challenge the verdict of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on prohibited funding case in court whereas PTI Chairman Imran Khan has called a meeting of party leaders after the verdict.

PTI Central deputy Secretary Information Farrukh Habib has said that the party would challenge the verdict of electoral watchdog on the prohibited funding case. Farrukh Habib added that the case not being foreign funding case was a victory for the party’s narrative.

He further said that the people who had propelled the narrative of foreign funding would be extremely disappointed that PTI was not banned. He said that the scrutiny committee for PTI had completed its work on time but the committees for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) have yet not submitted reports.

On the other hand, a meeting of PTI leaders has been called by PTI Chairman Imran Khan. According to media reports, Fawad Chaudhry, Asad Umar, Farrukh Habib, Maleeka Bukhari and other leaders have been called for meeting.
