PTI leaders call meeting to discuss quitting assemblies

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf senior leadership has called a meeting today to discuss the date of resignation from KP and Punjab assemblies.

PTI leader and former minister Chaudhry Fawad Hussain via Twitter announced that PTI senior leadership will meet today and fix the date of dissolution of KP and Punjab assemblies.

“With these decisions, 64% of seats of Pakistan will be vacant and pave the way for general elections,” the former minister highlighted.

On Saturday, PTI leader Imran Khan stated that to end the corrupt system PTI and its allies will quit all assemblies.

“My party has decided not to remain part of the current political system and will instead resign from all the assemblies,” the premier said.

PTI-motivated governments of Punjab, KP, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan have surprised the federal administration with this move.

Imran Khan further stated that he would soon meet with his chief ministers and the parliamentary party to discuss the issue and that he would soon announce his decision on when the party will leave the assemblies.
