PTI, PML-Q to file ‘Privilege motion’ against Chief Secretary Abdullah Sumbul

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and Pakistan Muslim league-Quaid have decided to file a privilege motion against Chief Secretary Punjab Abdullah Khan Sumbul.

According to media reports, the political climate of the nation was discussed at a consultative meeting between the legislative leaders of PTI and PML-Q.

As a result of the meeting, it was suggested that the chief secretary should resign from his position since he had aided an illegal campaign against the elected chief minister Parvez Elahi.

CM Parvez Elahi was de-notified by Governor Balighur Rehman, and the provincial cabinet was dissolved by the chief secretary.

Abdullah Khan Sumbul was appointed as Punjab Chief Secretary on Wednesday.

Sumbal was filling in for the chief secretary Kamran Ali Afzal who took a long vacation of 105 days leaving the important position empty for a considerable amount of time.

Earlier, he was working as Chairman of Planning & Development Punjab.
