PTI to soon announce Long March’s arrival date in Rawalpindi

Former information minister Fawad Chaudhry stated on Wednesday that the party may announce the tentative date for its long march to Rawalpindi within the next 72 hours.

Fawad claimed that “the tentative date for when hundreds of thousands of people would march towards Rawalpindi” is expected to be announced within the next few days while speaking at a press conference alongside other PTI leaders Shireen Mazari and Zulfi Bukhari.

He claimed, “By the grace of God, this gathering will be the largest political rally in history.”

According to media reports, PTI Chairman Imran Khan is expected to travel from Lahore to the garrison city on November 19 or 20.

A team composed of MNAs Amir Mehmood Kiyani, Asad Umar, and Ghulam Sarwar Khan is in charge of making preparations for his stay in Rawalpindi.

A new bomb-proof and very secure special container has been built for the former premier and will be brought to the garrison city between Thursday and Friday at midnight.

It has also been suggested that the PTI chairman resides in Punjab House in Rawalpindi, although this has not yet been approved.

Significant arrests and detentions could also occur on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, according to media reports citing highly reliable sources.

The wholesale markets for vegetables, fruits, and grains will be closed on Friday, and all public and private schools in the city will also be closed.

This week, the commissioner, deputy commissioner, RPO, and CPO paid a visit to the sensitive organization’s office and were given a thorough briefing regarding the start of the long march to the garrison city in addition to getting the appropriate instructions.

The Rawalpindi police have been ordered to be prepared for any situation. Additionally, a sizable number of tear gas and rubber bullet shells have been given to the police.
