PTI warns Punjab, KP Governors of Article 6

Sharif, Zardari families have no political future, Pakistan will have new opposition, Fawad Chaudhry

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has warned on Thursday that if elections were not held within 90 days following the dissolution of the legislatures the governors of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will be subject to Article 6 of the Constitution.

Fawad claimed the administration had failed to handle the country and Imran Khan during a news conference alongside other PTI leaders. He said, “In their attempts to control Imran Khan they have devastated the country.”

Fawad claimed that the families of Sharif and Zardari had no political future. He said that Pakistan will have a new opposition whenever the PTI took power. He continued by saying that his party wanted a stable Pakistan that was governed in accordance with the constitution and did not wish to engage in conflict with the institutions.

“Pakistan should uphold human rights. The constitution must be followed in organizing elections,” Fawad remarked. If elections are not held there is no solution for the current issue, he said.
