Punjab Assembly passes resolution against governor’s unconstitutional move

The Punjab assembly has passed a resolution against Governor Punjab Balighur Rehman’s unconstitutional move of removing Parvez Elahi as the Chief Minister of the Province.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf MPA Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal proposed the motion urging President Arif Alvi to take action against the province’s governor.

Even before the proposal to remove the governor from office was introduced the opposition staged a walkout.
