Punjab governor donates 4 months’ salary to relief fund

Punjab Governor Muhammad Balighur Rehman called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday.

In the meeting, various issues including the political situation of the country and the rehabilitation of the flood victims were discussed. According to reports, Governor Balighur Rehman donated his four months’ salary to Prime Minister Pakistan Flood Relief Fund for flood victims. He also presented cheques worth one and a half crore rupees given by the children of Social Welfare Society School Mughalpura and various universities in the Prime Minister Flood Relief Fund for the flood victims to the Prime Minister. On this occasion, the governor informed the prime minister about the ongoing activities for the relief and rehabilitation of the flood victims by the universities across Punjab. He told the prime minister that he has given clear instructions to the universities that necessary items should be sent to the flood victims in which mosquito nets, tents and other items should be provided.
