Following the regime change in the center, the Punjab government on Tuesday removed Fayyaz Ahmed Dev from the post of Lahore Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Minute Mirror reported on Wednesday. He has been directed to report to the establishment division.
According to a notification issued in this regard, Dev, a BS-21 officer of Police Service Of Pakistan, presently serving under Government of Punjab, is transferred and directed to report to Establishment Division, with immediate effect and until further order.
On Wednesday, Babar Bakht was also removed from the post of additional director Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime wing. Bakht has been ordered to report to Establishment Division.
Similarly, Additional Secretary Food Security Tahir Khurshid was also removed from his post. He was ordered to report to the Federal Establishment Division. Khurshid served as the principal secretary to former Punjab chief minister Usman Buzdar and was accused of being the alleged front man of Farah Bibi and Usman Buzdar.
It is pertinent to mention that these postings were done by ex-chief minister Usman Buzdar. After Shahbaz Sharif took oath as the prime minister of Pakistan, the three officers were removed from these posts.
