Punjab Police uniform will change again

It has been decided to change the uniforms of police personnel in Punjab. It was made mandatory for women police personnel to wear scarves on their heads.

On the orders of IG Punjab, a letter has been issued to all officers in this regard, deciding to amend the uniform of police personnel.

In a letter sent by Additional IG Rifat Mukhtar, it has been said that the personnel who have completed 10 years of service will wear one blue strip on the uniform, two blue stripes on the uniform and three blue stripes on the personnel who have completed 30 years of service.

In a letter issued by the Punjab Police, it has been further said that the headscarf is an integral part of the uniform for lady personnel.

The letter has also been issued to CCPO Lahore, Commandant Punjab Constabulary, RPOs, DPOs, SSP Motor Transport.
