‘Rana Shamim notarized his affidavit at Nawaz Sharif’s office’

Federal Minister Fawad Chaudhry accuses Sharif Family of acting like Sicilian mafia

Federal Information and Broadcasting Minister Fawad Chaudhry has said that former chief justice of Gilgit-Baltistan, Rana Shamim, had notarized his affidavit at Nawaz Sharif’s office.

On Sunday, he tweeted while sharing a snap shot of a story done by Express Tribune, according to which the former chief judge of GB Rana Shamim took the oath and signed an affidavit in the office of none other than Mian Nawaz Sharif.

In the affidavit, the former CJ tried to incriminate former chief justice of Pakistan, Mian Saqib Nisar, and a sitting judge of the Islamabad High Court.

Chaudhry said that this report exposed the Sharif family’s expertise in blackmailing, including of the judiciary, and termed them a ‘mafia’. Moreover, he said that the Sharif family worked like a Sicilian mafia.

Rana Shamim’s son has already said that his father was in ‘direct contact’ with Nawaz Sharif. Appearing on a news show, Rana Shamim’s son, who is also an advocate of Supreme Court, said that his father had a very string and long-standing relation with Nawaz Sharif and his family, as he [Shamim] had been the vice president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Sindh’s lawyer wing.
