Reddit has acknowledged that as part of the transition to a new chat architecture, years of conversation data from before 2023 would be deleted.

Reddit announced its move to a new chat architecture back in June. Thus, getting rid of outdated messages will make the transition easier and faster.

While talks from this year have been converted to the new chat architecture, discussions dated before January 1, 2023, have been erased from the site.

Reddit put this notice on its website, but it did not make it obvious that the users’ old data would be fully erased.

As a result, plenty of individuals lost their talks. However, individuals may ask Reddit for account info via an online form from their account, according to Mashable.

In a separate news, Elon Musk stated on Saturday that Twitter’s cash flow is still negative due to a roughly 50% decline in advertising income and a high debt burden, falling short of his prediction from March that Twitter might become cash flow positive by June.

Musk responded to demands for recapitalization in a tweet by saying, “Need to reach positive cash flow before we have the luxury of anything else.”

Due to complaints about Twitter’s inadequate content management, several sponsors left because they did not want their advertising to show next to improper content.
