Russia advises Ukraine to accept demands, threatens of its forces otherwise

Strategic objective of US, NATO is to significantly weaken or destroy Russia, Russian Foreign Minister

A day after Russian President Vladimir Putin offered talks on Ukraine Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told Ukraine to accept Moscow’s demands or Russian forces would look into the matter.

Ukraine and its Western allies have rejected Putin’s offer of talks, with Moscow continuing to demand that Kyiv recognize its victory over a fifth of the country. Kyiv has said that it will compete until Russia leaves.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov added that it was not hidden from anyone that the strategic objective of the United States and NATO was to significantly weaken or destroy Russia. He reiterated that Russia and the United States could not maintain normal relations, blaming President Joe Biden’s administration.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov was quoted as saying by a Russian state news agency, “Our proposal is to eliminate terrorists in the region, who are a threat to Russia’s security.” He said that their point was very simple to follow for their own good otherwise the matter will be seen by the Russian forces.

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the attack on Ukraine on February 24 this year calling it a special operation to disarm Ukraine and rid it of the Nazis, which he calls a threat to Russia.

According to Kyiv and the West, Putin attacked only to gain control of the land. The United States and its allies have imposed severe sanctions on Russia and sent billions of dollars to help the Ukrainian government.

During Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s visit to Washington last week the United States announced an additional $1.85 billion in military aid including the transfer of the Patriot air defence system.
